Hi, I've got a problem with my hauppauge 45 button remote. I can't seem to change channels. In the irblasterconfig setup, I can send most channels and get it to change, but when I actually use the remote it doesnt work. It sends something, but it cant change. The weird thing is, it seems like no matter what channel i put in, it keeps putting in the number 3 or 30. That's the only channel it can actually change to.

I have the .exe changer plugin set to haupblast.exe and i clicked on the fix hauppage 45 button remote as well. Any help is greatly appreciated.

change the channel changer to none instead of .exe and then go to the fix hauppage remote control settings (45 botton), click on it. Tell me if that works

thanks for the reply.

Ok, I tried that and its still not working. It doesnt seem to be flashing any IR at all. I changed it back to use the .exe changer plugin and then fix hauppauge remote, and the transmitter will flash IR codes, and then if it changes at all, it goes to channel 3...even when i use the keyboard to change channels, it always goes to 3. So i guess its not exclusively the remote, its the transmitter. Again, when i go to irblast config, I can change to most channels in set up.

oh and another thing, when I first start gbpvr, it automatically send an ir signal, i guess the channel the guide is on, and it will succesfully change the channel. after that though, it seems to just send the number 3.

OK i've discovered something that might help...

I have my config set to external tuner - tuned to channel 3. And my remote keeps constantly sending only the channel 3 to the set top box.

if I change that to channel 4, now my remote only sends channel 4 to the set top box.

If I set the config to internal tuner, I can change channels sucessfully! of course, I don't have an internal tuner, so I can't see any tv...But I feel like it has to do something with that setting in config. Oh, and also, If i set in config to "only show devices detected in this machine" it shows up pvr250's, but i have a pvr 150..not sure if that is related at all.

Anyway, if that extra info helps anybody think of anything, please let me know. thanks so much!

You could get that behaviour if all the numbers you want the blaster to send under "Source Channel" in the "Edit recording Source" popup is set to '3'...

I just got mine set up. Mine also does not show the 150 if you set it to show only configured cards so don't click that and pick the PVR150 card from the list.

Then, pick external tuner, either s-video or composite depending on what you are using. The constant channel box will be grayed out. Then pick the .exe changer plugin and set it to haublast like you had it before.

That should work. Let me know if it doesn't and I will post screen shots to compare against.

What are you using for the input into your tuner card? is it s-video, composite or cable?
