Hi. I am new to GBPVR but think it's great. I am running 97.7 with VA plugin. My log file shows that installs correctly. It intially works for a while with new recordings showing. As more recordings are added it crashes when i "arrow down" with the error message "StartIndex parameter cannot be less than zero". The only other plugin I am running is Music Library2 which works fine. Disbaling this plugin doesn't help. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with the same problem. Any ideas?

After you see the error on screen, can you post your gbpvr.exe.log file?

Hi

A further update. I am stil having the same problem. I have upgraded to version 97.9. I have uninstalled both .net 1.1 and .net 2 to see if it had any effect. I have tried multiple times to uninstall and reinstall GBPVR with no improvement. The only other plugin I am running is Music Library2. Could this be a problem with gbpvrcommonutilities. I have tried different versions without any more improvement.

In the last music-lib2 you don't need gbpvrcommonutilities any more. But there are some problems with that version at the moment, Psycik is working on it. When you disable ML-2 do you delete the dll's from the plugin-dir?
What version of gbpvrcommonutilities are you using, a few days ago I noticed in another thread that the last version was 3.xxxx dd 26-04-2006.
(edit: or even later)

good luck

There was a bug that could cause this that I have fixed. Send me a PM with your email address and I can send you a copy so that you can help test and verify it has been fixed.

Thanks

I decided to go ahead and just post the update on the wiki site. Can you try that version and let know if you still have the problem. I have fixed a bunch of minor bugs and have added some more logging so hopefully the problem is now either fixed or more easily diagnosed.

Thanks Jeff. The new plugin works great! No crashes.

On another matter, do you know how to change the bitrate for dvd to mpg conversion? I don't have any problems playing mpg recorded by my pvr350 through the mvp but I get stutter and out of sync audio with dvds converted to mpg using your plugin. This is despite having optimized by network settings as best I can. I wonder if reducing the quality would help? Any ideas?

I only use the MVP and they work okay for me. You may be able to change the command line option to mplex to do this. If you were to change the -f 8 in the command line to -f 1 or -f 4 that would tell mplex to use VCD or SVCD format, which might help (or hurt; I have never tried it).

GBPVR also installs ffmpeg, which can probably be used to transcode the file to some lower resolution form, although I have no diea how to actually do this.
