Does the Network Client and PC Client methods described on the wiki enable watching live tv on the client?

Also, are either of these methods preferred over the other?

Finally, are there any newer or better methods for establishing a PC client/server environment with GBPVR?

PS: I did use the search button but this topic goes way back and has a LOT of related threads so I'm just not certain what is the current preffered method for client/server over a LAN with GBPVR...

I havn't tried it them but I believe the PC clients from the wiki wont give live TV, only recordings. There is an MVP emulator for PC in development that would give live TV, but this has been in development for a long time now and I think is still not ready for "prime time".
The best way to watch live TV over the network is by MVP.
I'm sure a lot of people would LOVE a stable PC client and in my opinion is the one big thing missing Sad from this otherwise excellent software.

When I tried running GBPVR in client mode some time ago it did work with live TV as long as you used time delay mode instead of live preview mode. I stopped using it because I had some odd problems with database locking, but if I get brave, I might try it again and see if it behaves differently with the new database engine.
