Hello
first of all many thanks for this wonderful program!

Is there a way to boot the WinXP PC automatically when there is a scheduled recording and after the recording to shut it down?

I asked the same question myself on another thread. It would be nice if it could be done. If not it would be nice if this feature could be implimented in a future release.

Look in the power management section of the control panel. I can't remember whats required for other platforms but for XP you can use this to do what you want.

I leave my machine in hibernate mode, and when a scheduled recording takes place, this wakes up the machine does the recording. Then the power management is setup to put the machine back to hibernate mode after about 10 minutes of inactivity. I use this all the time for recordings and never a problem.

Try searching the forum for suspend or hibernate as this has ben discussed before.

Of course you may need to check your bios to make sure its setup to do this, but most computers in the last coupe of years should have no problem with this.

Colin.

Edit:
Depending on how long it takes to wake your computer up you may need to adjust the start padding time accordingly.
