Most of the time Comskip works well for me, just missing the odd commercial now and then. Sometimes though, it seems the whole comskip file is offset by a minute or so. For example, a commercial break will start, then about a minute into it, the Comskip file comes to a commercial break and skips the correct length of time (the total length of all the commercials) but it goes about a minute past the end of the commercials and cuts into the show. I then have to skip back manually a couple of times to get to the "real" end of the commercial break. When a show has this problem, it will happen for the entire show, not just select commercial breaks. Any ideas?

I've never seen this myself. You could check the comskip files manually and see if the times corresponds to the times when gbpvr skips. You can also use the debug window that comes with comskip in order to see when and why it sets a skip point.
I'm not always right

If the timing is off consistently on a certain channel, config, etc. then you can use Comskippad to correct the offset. If it's a random type of problem I don't believe there is much you can do to correct it.

I've tried fine tuning and every other program works fine. I've only noticed this happening with NASCAR races. The commercial skipping makes no sense. Would it have something to do with the fact that the resulting MPG file is so huge (long)? NASCAR races can last up to 4 hours...

Yes, us Canucks love NASCAR too. I go to my local short track to watch Saturday night racing whenever I get the chance. Would you mind posting your Comskip ini file that you've used successfully with NASCAR? I'd like to see what difference it may make.
