I've just upgraded to 9709 and my external blaster (I'm using an blast.bat file) stopped working. I.e. it works once, when I start up to view something from the TV-Listning, but it does not work with <number> + <enter> key in TV Mode.

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs? It should add a "Running: Xxxxx" message in the logs each time it needs to change channels, so this would be the first thing I'd check.

Ok, I started up with "Niklas grillspecial" from the TV-guide, ok, then tried "2+ENTER" and "3+ENTER" with no blasting activity. The first channel is still tuned on my SAT reciver.
(Usually the USB-UIRT lits up like a christmas tree when the channel changes.)

Logs attached, but I saw no "Running:"...

Note that my changer file is blast.bat (not .exe, since this worked in 96.12).

I'm not sure exactly which channels you tried to watch, but looking at the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log, I can see the following channel change requests. Do these tally up with what channels you tried to watch? Sorry, its bit hard to tell from my end.

Quote:2006-06-19 21:22:08.781 VERBOSE [12] Running: C:\Program\devnz\gbpvr\blast.bat 1
2006-06-19 21:22:28.703 VERBOSE [12] Running: C:\Program\devnz\gbpvr\blast.bat 48
2006-06-19 23:18:00.078 VERBOSE [6] Running: C:\Program\devnz\gbpvr\blast.bat 5
The first couple were when watching live tv, the last one for a recording.

I started up with channel 1 (21:22:08) from the TV-guide, I then imediatly (whithin seconds) hit 2, and 3. These should have been blasts to channel 2 and 3.

But wait, 48 is my constant channel, that should probably not have been blasted, I would like to have seen a '2' (or '3') sent there instead.

I also read in some other post a similar behaviour. Perhaps this have been solved elsewhere (I've just come back from a week offline ;-)

Sorry, I had meant to come back to this one - but got busy with other stuff.

I'm not sure why you'd be getting this. There isnt an obvious cause in the logs.

Can you set up another test so I can take another look at the logs? Maybe this time something will be more obvious to me. Maybe three or four channel changes after thirty seconds of each channel, then zip and attach the logs and a brief commentary of which channel you tried to change to at what time.

Here's what I did:
Started from TV Guide watching channel 4: got blasted with 4
Hit Page up: expected to blast 5, got blast 48
Hit 1 <RETURN>: expected to blast 1, got blast 48
<Esc> back to TV Guide
Selected channel 2 from TV-guide: got blasted with 2

Noted that if I hit '5' at this stage, the OSD would show up '25'
This was repeateable, the current channel got up as the first digit,
and the digit I pressed come up second.

<Esc> back to TV Guide
Selected channel 3 from TV-Guide: got blasted with 3

So, it still looks to me as GB-PVR is blasting the constant channel number,
instead of the selected channel in Live TV mode.

I have a single PVR-250 card, two capture sources defined but no
channels on the the first (internal tuner) is enabled. The second
capture source is configured as internal tuner constant channel 48 and
external blaster.

Ps. Found the thread I metioned above, http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=16875

mrc_utx Wrote:OK i've discovered something that might help...

I have my config set to external tuner - tuned to channel 3. And my remote keeps constantly sending only the channel 3 to the set top box.

if I change that to channel 4, now my remote only sends channel 4 to the set top box.
