I'm hoping this will be a pretty simple one. Most of my channels come in OK. I have only two that need a little fine tuning.

If I play these channels with WinTV2000 they tune in great. In GBPVR they are fuzzy and need fine tuning. Can I fine tune a single channel in GBPVR?

Thanks

Sure can. I have several of my channels with the frequencies tweaked. Run config.exe and go to Capture Sources. Edit the source and in the Channel column enter the complete frequency you need.

This doesn't really work for me. Where is the channel frequency info stored? I'm running Windows XP Pro, I live in the US and I'm tuning cable.

I'm looking for a way to fine tune a channel as well. In my case it is the output of my satellite decoder. On one channel in particular my PVR150 is suffering the stuttering audio from what looks like audio peaks ('P', 'S') and the one remaining suggestion is to try fine tuning the signal.

Most of the tuning finds place in the Microsoft TV stuff....

The tuning info is normally stored here (for Hauppage 150):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\TV System Services\TVAutoTune\TS31-1]

GBPVr will point to one of the channels here (numbered 1 to 99), and this registry entry holds the actual channel info....

Please note that the freq is in hex, and that the input value is without any decimal signs (i.e. freq 189,25 is stored as 189250000 (hex)).

There's a tool called "freq2reg" / "freq2xml" to help make the changes....

Hope this helps,

Tipstir - I'm not sure who your reply was aimed at? - although it mentions SAT as in my problem, I don't see the point of posting a screen dump as I said it was an audio problem. I'll away to have a peek at the registry.

Just some extra info: the 31 in the string is the country code for the Netherlands, the 1 behind it means cable-input (I think), 0 (zero) means antenna.(or the other way round).Smile
I think for the USA this is TS0

edit: What freqcopy does is: copy the frequencies from the Hauppauge-entries in the registry to the "general" Microsoft entries in the registry
