During a recording, is it possible to watch the channel beeing recorded?

LiveTV should "jump" to that channel, but instead I get "No source is free....."

Just to make sure: Am I stupid, or is it correct that you cannot see what you are recording?  (Or both  [Image: tounge.gif] )

for the moment, you're right. i think, sub will implement this feature in one of the future releases. "timeshifting" is not possible right now (the definition of timeshift says, that you can schedule a recording and watch it from the beginning, while it is still recording). the only thing you can do, is setting gbpvr to livetv and when you want to watch, just rewind it.

Thanks,

Actually I was not trying to do any "timeshift" or other magic things - just watch live-tv while a scheduled recording was in progress. - that is what is going into the recorded stream right now.

Of course, I would be locked down to the single live channel (changing would'nt work) - but right not i cannot get a picture at all.

I can watch previous recorded stuff, and in the future I might be able to watch the current recording "timeshiftet", but that was not my case.

My case was that I want to make sure the recording is terminated when the program ends (and not 3min and 23secs later when the stop-time occurs). How do I do that?

you could change to the recordings-menu and clear the actual recording. for now, this is the only way to terminate recordings. it would be nice to have the stop-button doing that, when in live-tv.

Thats my point.

1) It would be nice to actually view live TV on the stuff being recorded.
2) Have the stop button.

AND then

3) Have the pause, rewind etc etc doing the timeshift thing.

Its all on Sub's TODO list. He's focusing on stability, then adding in the cool features.

Colin.
