Can I install .NET V2.0 with SP1 on XP Pro?

I don't like SP2 as it causes me some problems so uninstalled it a long time ago but now don't know if I can install .NET V2.0. Any ideas as I'm still using GB-PVR v0.96.12?

Because MS stops supporting SP1 with security patches etc. by October you better move to SP2 I guess

It's worth upgrading to SP2. The compatibility/stability issues that most people are afraid of are just driver issues; most of which have been fixed.

For example, my D-Link WLAN card caused XP SP2 to take forever to log-on. D-Link didn't bother to issue any driver updates (at all - you can download driver 1.00 from their site, but that's it) but I was able to use a driver from ASUS, since both manufacturers just use the reference design. The new driver fixes all the problems.

The only other thing that some people might run into are DEP issues when viewing video files in Explorer. This was a codec bug IIRC and I've not seen it for ages, since getting everything up to date.

There are very few reasons to not update to SP2.

Ok

So I've up graded to XP Pro SP2 and now lost the sound from my PVR350 on playback, I use this card with the composite 2 input for making recordings from my Sky sat box. This was using GBPR version 96.12.

This morning I installed .NetV2 and the latest version of GBPBR but I still have no sound when I playback a recording from its composite in. Any ideas?
