WinXP restart - GBPVR screen?

Been looking around awhile for the answer to this - when restarting a Windows XP SP1 machine the GBPVR recording services start and run in the background - no problem.

How can I envoke GBPVR to show full screen at start-up. The system I am running GBPVR on will act soley as a PVR. I currently access the GBPVR system using "Simple Desktop" from a laptop over an in-house wireless network. GBPVR has been configured and is working very well, therefore access to it will be minimal, we also have an MVP for watching recorded media elsewhere in our house.

There are a few ways of doing this. The hard way would be here:

If I understand this correctly (don't use it myself) you would not be able to use anything but gbpvr on the computer (no explorer, no config of gbpvr, no nothing).

The other, softer way, of doing would be to follow the first part of the above page (the one with "Control userpasswords2").

According to phuturetech in another thread:
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type control userpasswords2, and then click OK.
3. Clear the "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" check box, then click Apply.
4. In the Automatically Log On window, type the password in the Password box, and then retype the password in the Confirm Password box.
5. Click OK to close the Automatically Log On window, and then click OK to close the User Accounts window.

Next thing would be to uncheck the "run in windowed mode" in the config app) and add a shortcut to gbpvr in the startup folder of the user you setup to automatically login.

This is what I do. I have GBPVR desktop wallpaper and a hidden start bar. All you see is the normal BIOS boot up screen, the WinXP loading screen and then straight into the desktop and then auto load of GBPVR. And if you need to do any windows type stuff you can just exit gbpvr and its right there ready.

I ended up using the "stefans" suggestion, run GBPVR full screen, added a shortcut to the admin user. Works wonderfully.

I also added the "shutdown" plugin soooooooo other than some normal defragging and other maintenance chores my stand-alone GBPVR can run forever.

You can run defrag automatically, so you don't have to do that yourself. I've done this:
If you don't have a PostUpdateEPG.bat create one. Now, to the bottom of that file add the line:

defrag c: -f

exchange "c:" with the drive of your choice.
