Hi,

I got some minor problems, but it would be great if someone could help me.

1. When I watch a recording, there is a small time gap between video and audio. It seems that there is no Problem when I burn a DVD and watch it on my standalone DVD-Player. Is it possible to "close" that time gap in GBPVR?

2. I still have the problem that the viewer of the picture library shows the pictures with a wrong aspect ratio on the TV-Out of my PVR350. I Know that its possible to correct it because I found a way by editing the config.xml, but I don't know how I did that and after I installed the PC I'm not able to do it again.

3. When I watch Live TV and change the Changels, GBPVR exits to the main menu, sometimes at the first channel change, sometimes after some more, but it always happens after I try to change the channel.

System: A8NX Board, onboard grafic, onboard sound, Hauppauge PVR 350

I hope anybody could help.

1: Do you have your audio-out plugged into the hauppauge 350 (it should be)?

2: This is the only entry in config.xml I could find, changing it would effect watching tv or video's as well I guess:

<!-- PVR350 settings -->
<UsePVR350>false</UsePVR350>
<UsePVR350OSD>true</UsePVR350OSD>
<UsePVR350QuickMode>true</UsePVR350QuickMode>
<PVR350Width>640</PVR350Width>
<PVR350Height>520</PVR350Height>
<PVR350OffsetX>45</PVR350OffsetX>
<PVR350OffsetY>20</PVR350OffsetY>

3: Have you tried changing the mpeg-decoder, in gbpvr-config/playback tab.

Yes, the audio plug is plugged and it works, but with a small delay.

<PVR350Height>520</PVR350Height>
<PVR350OffsetX>45</PVR350OffsetX>
<PVR350OffsetY>20</PVR350OffsetY>

I know this entry, it is possible to correct the whole screen, but this effects the video and menu as well. It was somehow possible only to effect the pictures in the picture library. I still that I draw a square on to measure if I got the right factor. I think it was just one number like 1.58 or something like that.

No I haven't tried that, but I will, thanks for the hint.

I just realised that my comment under 3: was nonsense. You can't change your mpeg-decoder when you use the tv-out from the pvr-350. Sorry:o

I thought the mpeg-decoder options were greyed out when you select pvr-350 as hardware decoder. But they are not. Afaik selecting whatever decoder wouldn't influence the output. The audiodecoder and renderer would only be effected if you plug the audio-out plug into the onboard audio-out.
I guess you are aware of the fact that the 350 is not really supported anymore, especially the tv-out of it. If you dont use that, it becomes a pvr 250 and works very well. For a lot of people the 350 (with tv-out) works fine and for a lot of people it doesn't.

Up till now, the PVR 350 works very well. I compared the Tv-Out of the Hauppauge and the TV-Out of the grafic-card and in my opinion the Hauppauge wins this race clearly. I'm very sad if the TV-Out is no longer supported.

But still, has anybody an idea what I can do with the picture library and the delay?

Only thing I can think of is to increase the livetv-preplay delay.
Maybe select/deselect the "use live preview mode if possible" in the misc tab. I'm not even sure if these settings effect the 350 hardware out.
good luck

To be honest, I think you're out of luck with the picture ratio thing. I cant think of anything that is going to help you with this.

Then I seem to turn crazy, because I'm sure that it was possible OR I used a Plugin instead of the built in picture library. I hope it was the second point.

Any help with the delay of picture and sound or the problem that Live TV ends when iI change channels?
