I have GBPVR working with Sky Digital in NZ. The sky box is old - it is a Pace DSR600.

TV Tuner is a Hauppauge 150 MCE edition. Comes with a USB IR receiver/blaster and MCE type remote.

I can not get the IR blaster to change channels on the sky box. Does anyone have this set up working?

I can get the IR blaster to transmit other remotes (e.g. turn the volume up on the Amp), but not sky channels. Haven't been able to find a ccf file. Closest codes I found were in this forum (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...hlight=sky) but they are for the USB UIRT gadget. Not sure if I can somehow get them into HIP or another program.

So, if anyone has any ideas I could try, that would be great!!

you can import ccf files into HIP at the point where you choose to teate it a new remote code. when you click add value theres three options and one is to drag the values from a file. thats from vague memory though, i havnt the pc in front of me at the mo. You can definatly import ccf into hip though.

the problem you are having is quite a constant one though, people always seem to stumble when trying to use a sky box. doing a forum search for 'MCE sky' would give you lots of info i imagine....

you could also 'learn' them but it would seem the better way is the ccf files..
[specially if someone has them working already]
wondering if it uses a hi-frequency transmitter, as some can't be transmitted if they're beyond the freq range of the MCE ir's...[very rare tho]

also, the MCE hardware has a third 'eye' just for learning these hard types of remotes, but you have to put the remote you're learning dead against the window for it to pick them up...might help if trying the learn method..

an easy way to test is with the MceIrRec.exe and MceIrPlay.exe files..
[i believe they are in the alternate driver d/l package]
if you can get even one key working you should be able to learn them..Smile

Didn't manage to resolve this issue. Could not get MCE IR to learn remote codes for the Pace DSR600, and couldn't find any CCF codes that imported successfully.

Got a USB UIRT - learned the remote in a few minutes - not a prob. Plugged the MCE IR blaster into the USB UIRT, and it works ok, so must have been a learning problem.

Cheers for the posts guys.
