I was trying to play with the theater plugin.

I go to the wiki
it says "download the latest version"
it is a .zip file containing a .dll

there is also a fix file
I downloaded the one for the later versions.
it is a .zip file containing a .exe file.

instructions say to edit the .bat file.
where do I get the .bat file??
I didnt see it say I had to create it.

also, there wasnt a file to install it.
or do I manually add it as a plugin??

not sure what to do.

Oh damn! I have a feeling I screwed up the wiki entries for Theater Listings when I updated them the other day. I'll look into it tonight.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

To help both of you out, here is what the zip file should have been.

(I took the original download that I saved, added Old Dogs and Brian-W's net 2.0 fix to it.)

Old Dog,

You didn't screw anything up. The plugin download contained the DLL for the plugin, and the exe fix contained the exe. We just need to put the 2 together into one zip file that contains the BAT file as well and post it on the wiki.

Agidius,

Place the TheaterPlugin.dll file in the gbpvr\plugins folder, then put the gettheaterlistings.exe in the root gbpvr folder. For the batch file you can either create it yourself or I will attach one here. If you create it yourself, just create a new batch file in the gbpvr root folder named "getlistings.bat" and in that batch file just add one line like this:

gettheaterlistings.exe 12345

Where 12345 should be changed to your zip code. if you use the one that I have attached, just edit it and change the 12345 to your zip code.

This batchfile is called whenever you click on the refresh button from within the plugin, and you can also make a call to this file in any of your nightly batch files that are run (the epg post update batch file is a good one). If you have any other questions, just let us know Smile

Well if I would have remembered to attach the BAT file that post would have gone a bit better, lets try again.

Brian,

It looks like Fatman_do beat us to it (as always!).

I'll defer to you on what action to take.

I say we just combine each version into separate zip files, one for 1.1 and one for 2.0, then post each on the wiki. That way there is a complete zip file for someone to download and get it working. Then we can concentrate on moving forward with the overhaul of the plugin. Unless you see any changes that need to be made to the UI or the backend components anytime soon.

I am working on a quick little project for the wife (which is also teaching me the api and how to handle UI elements in GBPVR so I can use those on the theater plugin), and then I plan on working on the theater plugin again.
