MVP Drops connection

A common use of GB-PVR in my home is to listen to music using NetRadio and watch family photos using MyPictures3, Beta 3 using the MVP. There are periods when the MVP transitions to the "Contact Servers" screen then resynch with the GBPVR server. The resynch might take 30-60 seconds. This behavior seems to happen in groups, 4 or 5 times in an hour then no other occurences the remainder of the day. We occasionally experience this same behavior when watched recorded shows.

The attached logfile has the following at the end.
7/29/2006 8:21:23 AM.187 ERROR [912] MVP Timer Refresh error: An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine.

Any sugguestions on what changes I might make to clear this problem up?

Unfortunately there isnt really any clues there. It just say the MVP disconnected for some unknown reason.

I have been getting this quite a lot with the 97.x series whilst the 96.x series of releases was quite stable

Is there anything we can do to try and help locate the fault, all the logs ever say are "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine"

there never seems to be any reason or consistency as to when it happens

I'm not convinced its happening any more than it used to. Its always been a pretty common complaint.

There isnt really anything easy that can be done to determine why the MVP is disconnecting. I've got a model with a serial port attached, which displays the messages generated by the MVP in its normal running. In theory, if encounter one of these disconnects, there will most likely be a message indicating shy...but obviously this only helps if I'm getting the same error here. Or there is some 100% reproduce set of steps I can perform.
