I've been chasing down a performance issue (100% CPU Utilization with gbpvr, while it's 50% with winTV and is much less jerky). I found a thread(Dissappointing MPEG2 decoding) indicating running cxdiag, which I did, and I went through some of the optimizations in the dxdiag menus.
After this, when I try to load gbpvr, I get a message: Error: External component has thrown an exception. No codes, no stack trace, nothing. Is there a log that can help me get a handle on this, do I need to remove the program and reinstall, or what? WinTV still works fine, so I'm not thinking the hardware is not working.
Any ideas from the wizards?
Thanks,
ydol
