When the EPG doesn't load...

I've reloaded the EPG a couple of time and have a couple of issues:

* Not all channels get loaded - is there anything I can do to fix this? I'm using broadcast EPG on BDA HVR-900
** I've I clear the capture device and set it up again I can either get the EPG for the channels before 6 or after (abc1, BBC4) but never both?!

Any tips much appreciated, cheers. As the more guide you've got the better the whole thing is....

have you tried "emptying" the EPG at all? I had mine go funny a while back, I emptied and did a full update and all was well. Perhaps there is some corrupt data in yours like there was in mine.

There are TWO things I do:
1. what he said :-) emptyepg, either in the command line or in the config. In the config, I ignore the warning mesage, it doesn't empty out the scheduled recordings.
2. I use the TVXB xml grabber with 14 days ahead, with a forced re-download (which only does 3 days). Sometimes I just delete the cached html files (use a batch file for this) it has downloaded, esp. if they are just wrong, at which point tvxb downloads them all again and presto, works.

To be honest I don't know the answer to the first Q. While most grabbers are universal, it seems folks use grabbers set up for "close to where they live". So AlanBirtles grabber in the UK (you mentioned BBC4) e.g. TVXB is pretty universal though. It is not a "plug and play" item though (not as I understand it) like zap2it. Australians seem to have different grabbers again, that they like too. Good thread on that here.

TVXB is free for personal use.
