Net Radio doesn't play

Actually, Net Radio plays but it only plays a few seconds then stops. This only happens in MVP environment, in my PVR system, everything works as it should.

Guilty as charged!:o Actually, I just skimmed those two links and installed the patch. I read it again, and I'm guessing the drop-out is because of mvpmc, darn, am not ready to give that up yet. I really love the WOL feature.

Here's what I've observed:

Standard dongle.bin that comes with 1.0.16: Net Radio plays fine. However, when I select "Stop" the sound turns off but the music is still streaming to the MVP. The only way to stop the stream is to turn the MVP off.

Stable mvpmc.bin release from July: Net Radio plays fine on 1.0.16. It would also stop the stream correctly with v99.12, but haven't checked for this with 1.0.16.

Beta Oct. 14 version of mcpmc.bin: Net Radio plays for 1 to 5 seconds on 1.0.16, then audio stops, though the data is still streaming to the MVP. The only way to stop the stream is to turn the MVP off.

It seems that PVRX2 doesn't switch off the stream when stop is selected. I can live with it for now, since Net Radio wasn't "officially" included in this release.

Are you all using the "lost" PVRX2.exe that I uploaded and described in the threads with HtV?

As far as I can tell no dongle will stop the gbnetradio file from growing without powering off.

I'm using the one that came with 1.0.16 when I downloaded it from Sub's official link. Plus the patches from the Survival Guide. I don't recall seeing a "lost" version.

Agreed! It appears to be something in the app itself, but unique to 1.0.16. I was not seeing this happen with v99.12.

Its just a bug. The net radio feature wasnt officially available in 1.0.16, but just kind of happened when I fix an unrelated bug in the same file (PVRX2.exe). The new PVRX2 version of net radio that was included wasnt tested, and unfortunately had this problem. I'll fix it for the next release.

Martin, my current copy of PVRX2.exe is dated Sept. 16. Is the one that you posted the link to different than what I already have? I've applied the patches, including the one that accidentally got net radio working, but for me it only works correctly when I use the standard dongle.bin.
