New Version of Enhanced Web Admin

A new version of EWA has been released.....build 43. It is available for download on the wiki which contains all necessary instructions for installation and usage.

Support can be found in the EWA Support Thread.

GBPVR is currently shipping with build 40 of the EWA.

Here are the updates that were applied to build 41, 42 and 43.

Date: 2006-08-06 Build Number: 43 Changes:

• Updated EWA to not show stream button unless VLC is actually installed in the directory specified in the config.
  
• Retain scroll position in Episode Search Results when scheduling show to record via Detail Pop-Up.
  
• Added the ability to display search results in a TreeView rather than a table.
  
• Added the ability to set a configuration setting to show search results in a TreeView or Table View. It is defaulted to TreeView.

Date: 2006-07-15 Build Number: 42 Changes:

• Maintenance release to fix Windows Media browser Plugin issue in IE.

Date: 2006-07-15 Build Number: 41 Changes:

• Added ability to stream recorded shows from Manage Recordings. Requires VLC to be loaded on the GBPVR Server.

Great, is this version going to work with Apple MacosX?
(as a client connecting to GBpvr that is)
None of the previous versions worked with macosX (safari, and latest Firefox)
using the WMP external or internal player.
tried different codecs etc, the problem is that the press play button is not even appearing, can't even start it.
From windows, it works great though

I Haven't done anything that would have made this work if it didn't work before....If I recall the streamer prior to being integrated (.Net 1.1) worked on your Mac but after going to .Net version 2.0 (stand alone streamer as well as integrated) it stopped working....

I am thinking that the client script that is now generated and is executed by the browser is not recognized by the Mac browser.....

Do you get any type of script errors?

Actually, it never worked from the mac, with any of the versions.
the main problem i believe is from the javascript. The windows never gets a "start" play button.
If i fake it (start the stream from windows) and point quicktime for example to stream the IP and port, it will fail. tried different protocols/combination of mux etc. nothing seems to work.
on the PC, no problem at all.
i had sent the java scripts errors previously, I could ask my friend with the mac to try again if you're interested.
Is MACOS just not adequate for streaming? or maybe the browser is not working correctly?
not sure to be honest with you.
My friend even has the WMP codecs to play windows videos. doesn't work.
