How to view MyTheatre in GB-PVR??

It's like this. I once asked and got a negative responce on GB-PVR and encrypted channels. But this task can be done in MyTheatre.
But on the other hand, MyTheatre can't be used with remote from the sofa (it has eye-aching small right-click menus).

So I would like to use MyTheatre from GB-PVR instead! How can I accomplish this?

I stumbled across a plug-in for MCE that works this way and I guess that I could use that but MCE has a lot of other features I don't like so I would like to have this function in GB-PVR so I can go on using it All the way!!

As for now, my mediaPC is somewhat crippled...

There is no built in way you can do this.

If MyThreater can record from a command line, you might be able to cobble something together using the External Recorder plugin though. I've never used that plugin, so I cant say for sure, but maybe...

Sorry for only just seeing your post on this, but I'll tell you my experiences of trying to use MyTheatre along with GBPVR.

The External Recorder plugin can indeed be used for this- there is a long thread which deals in part with this which you should find if you search for Mytheatre- but I have only had limited success in getting it to run smoothly.

One method is to use VLC to stream from myTheatre to the External Recorder plugin, with which you should be able to change the channel in myTheatre as well, although this didn't always work properly for me, and you will have to open myTheatre independently, as far as I know, which can be done by creating a custom button in GBPVR if you like.

Another method is to get the plugin to call a batch file when you open or record a channel, and another when you stop recording or change channel, and then get these batch files to open to the correct channel in myTheatre and get myTheatre to record directly to the file GBPVR is trying to create. The main problem here is that the delay involved can make GBPVR think there is an error if the file is not created quickly enough. There is also the problem of myTheatre taking the focus away from GBPVR and thus stopping the remote working, but this can be dealt with (a few threads around on regaining focus as well).

Both these methods are discussed in the previous threads, but probably the easiest method is to just use a custom button (which you can easily create in the plugins configuration) to launch myTheatre from GBPVR, or just launch it from your remote if you can, and then use the ANTepg plugin there to give you a better tv guide which you can read comfortably from a distance (and within which you can change channels and set recordings). If you are using the same TV tuner for both then you'll have to shut GBPVR first, which can also be done by using a batch file if you want to use the custom buttons method- for me, the batch shuts GBPVR to free up the tuner and my XCard MPEG decoder, then opens myTheatre, and when I shut myTheatre with my remote, the batch automatically brings up the GBPVR menu again.
