It only happens to about 1 out of 10 recordings - I haven't been able to find a pattern yet.

Thanks

I seem to recall someone having problems with filenames containing the ampersand (&) character before... could that be your problem? Don't remember if a solution was found or not, though.
I'm not always right

i recorded the whole 'nightmares & dreamscapes' Stephen King series without problems, but that nasty ampersand does tend to be a control character in some programming languages..
it played havoc with my batch files...[batch files can't handle the name,no matter what you do] tho you may be able to use short filenames in the batch files.. [%~s1 instead of %1]
if you use postprocessing or parallelprocessing.bat other such batches, check them...they'll choke on that filename..
hope that helps..Smile

I checked and I had the same problem with "Spiegel TV Extra_20060809_23300015.mpg" (I don't have the logs from back then) - so it's something else..?

Btw, the y: is a local hd, not a network drive.

Did you apply the patch from the sticky 'v0.97.13 survival guide' thread? Post #7 I think.

I applied it just now. Never had (or noticed) any signal problems though.

I'll schedule a few recordings for today to see if it helps. Thanks!

Unfortunately this didn't help. I still got the same error today - the log (attached) shows different error messages though.

You've got lots of Access database messages errors listed in your logs.

How big is your gbpvr.mdb file?
