Weather plug in will not update.

I installed the weather plugin earlier this week and have not been able to get it to update. It will download the weather information when it first starts up but nothing I've tried will make it update after that. I've played with all of the plugin settings to see if there is something that I'm just not understanding. I've let is set for over 24 hours to see if it will update. No luck.

GPR version is 96.13. I'm not sure what the weather plug in version is. I can't find it anywhere on the installation but I downloaded it earlier this week so I'm guessing it's the latest.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I just got back an hour ago. It will take me a while to catch up with things at home, at work, and in GPRVR land.

There are two versions posted on the wiki, one for the .NET 1.X based version of GBPVR and one for the current .NET 2.0 based release. I do not maintain the .NET 1.1 compatible version but left it up there for users that had not updated GBPVR yet. I would not be surporized to hear that the old version did not work any more; MSNBC changes their web page layout now and again which requires plugin changes. If you upgrade to the latest GBPVR and install the latest weather plug-in that should work. If not, let me know what city you are trying to use.

I assume that the Net2.0 is the Setip.97.zip version? If so, yes, that is the one that I downloaded. I uninstalled and reinstalled that version this morning just to see if that would help. It didn't. Same ol.

The weather update always loads proberly when GBPVR first starts. It just never automaticly updates after that. Right now I have it set to a 15 min. update with only Bloomington, IN 47401 as the city. Even after an hour of no changes to what is being displayed I can exit GBPVR and re-start and see the update that MSNBC is showing.

Not sure what else to tell you about it at this point.

Can you let it run for an hour or two and then upload the log? I want to see if updates are happening. MSNBC doesn;t update the weather all that often so it could just be that when the plug-in gets an update from the web site the new data is the same as the same as the old data.

I attached the latest version of the log file. It is from a 5 hour run.

The map has still not updated in the last 5 hours. But.... The current conditions are updating. It seems like it's only the map. There are times that I've waited over 24 hours and never seen an update on the map.

Jeff, Do you have any more thoughts on the update problems that I'm having. The map portion still doesn't update. The weather plugin has been running since my last email and the map still hasn't updated. I see in the log file that there are some "error" messages concerning the map download but I'm not sure what they mean. Thanks
