Hi,

I know this question has been asked in the past, however the last posts I found were in 2004 so thought I'd ask again in case the answer has changed in the meantime. Is there a way to increase the TV pause buffer size to beyond 1 hour? Currently if I pause time shifted live TV (i.e buffering to HDD) the OSD comes up showing a timeline that ends at 1 hour.

Thanks for any information

Cheers

Its not limited to one hour. You can pause it for eight hours if you like, then resume watching tv eight hours behind live if you want.

The buffer size is only limited by your available disk space.

Hi Sub,

thanks for that clarification. So the 1 hour timeline that shows on the OSD is just an intial timeline, and if I paused TV for >1 hour that timeline would update to suit? Guess best way to find out is to do it!

Cheers

Thats just saying how long the current show you're watching is. You may have several other shows of varying lengths queued up for watching.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that there is no EPG data so GBPVR knows nothing about the length of the show (currently on air). In that case is the pause buffer still only limited by free hard disk space?

If no listings are available, then it just pretends there are hour long show listings.
