Hello,

I'm getting very frustrated. I want this to be stable and useable, but every time I come home from work, the wife says, the "freevo" wasn't working again. Rolleyes

Anyway, I'm just having annoying stability issues. It seems like half the time when I'm changing channels, it goes back to the main menu. It's driving me crazy!

I have a 2.8 Ghz Celeron, Wired MVP Rev. H2, dongle 3.0.24088. And a WinTV-PVR-USB2. And I'm just picking up UHF/VHF signal from a rooftop antenna. Running GB-PVR 97.13. Win XP Home, SP2, .net 2.0, directx 9.0b, I believe my video card is integrated on my processor (I have an HP a410n computer)

My MVP is hooked into a port on my Actiontec 1524 DSL Modem/Gateway.

I've set my TCP/IP settings to static instead of obtain automatically.

Here are all my settings in Config and a log file where it returned to the main menu.

Please have a look, tell me if something doesn't look right or what I should try. PLEASE HELP!!!...

Config:
PLAYBACK:
Hardware decoder device - none
Software MPEG2 playback - all default
VMR9 Custom Renderer
Minimal OSD during playback
Live TV pre-play delay - 1200 ms

CAPTURE SOURCES:
Hauppauge USB2 - Direct Recording Plugin
EPG Source - Zap2It
No Channel Changer required

MVP:
Dongle: dongle-3.0.24088.bin
# servers to autostart: 1
MVP Live TV pre-play delay: 1200 ms
MVP Transcode pre-play delay: 7000 ms
Force trans. OSD - not checked (didn't work checked either)
Force minimal OSD for MVP - checked

MISC:
These ones are CHECKED:
Autocreate folders when recording
Use short skip...
Use live preview mode if possible
Return from timeshift mode on channel change
Deinterlacing: Encoder pass-through
Enable screen saver
Confirm delete in Video library
Loggin level: debug
BDA Multiplexer: Microsoft DVR-MS

Let me know if this is what you need or not. It DID revert back to the main menu in this timeframe. And actually, it locked up our computer in this timeframe too. Not sure what was trying to be done at the time that happened - my wife was using it. Smile

I'm not sure it'll help or not, but I would try editting the direct.ini file and set:

[Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2]
INIT_MODE=DEFAULT
INIT_MSP=0

It will at least get rid of the dozens of errors listed in your log. Hopefully it'll also help your problem.

You're missing some log files in I need in there. Can you try again to reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs again?

Well, I couldn't get it to produce the same problem this morning. Wierd. It was doing about every 3rd channel change last night. But, I did reproduce another very common problem, which may or may not be related. If changing the channel quickly (I just pushed channel up twice within 1 second or so), it often goes to the "Contacting Server" screen and just sits there forever. This happened this morning.

I've attached a zip file with all the *.log files from my root gbpvr directory dated today. Is that what you need?
