New Sleep Timer Plugin

Turn on a BBC documentary, set the Sleep Timer to, say, 1 hour, and relax asured that if you should accidentally doze off for the night, the TV will shut itself down quietly. This way you won't be rudely awakened at 4am by that screeching limey selling miracle wax.

I'm not sure what the protocol is for posting plugins here (just found this nifty GB-PVR a couple days ago), but if this Sleep Timer gets a little vetting and seems to work OK, y'all can stick it up wherever you want.

Let me know if you have any issues. This is my first GB-PVR plugin. I basically ripped it from the GbpvrUiElementsExample source. Anyway, here's the readme from the archive:

WHAT IS IT?

MANUAL INSTALLATION
----------------------------------------
Not necessary if you're running the installer. But here's the poor man's deployment, for posterity's sake. SleepTimer is comprised of only two files. Just unzip them into your GB-PVR install directory. SleepTimer.dll goes in the Plugins folder; skin.xml goes in skin\Blue\SleepTimer.

USAGE INSTRUCTIONS

Google the phrase "sleep timer" or something. It's pretty straightforward.

KNOWN ISSUES
----------------------------------------
The visible countdown doesn't automatically refresh if live TV is playing in the background. This appears to be caused by a bug in GB-PVR. If you move the remote or an arrow key or something, it'll update the visible countdown. NOTE: This is strictly a minor UI problem; it does not effect the actual countdown. The system will still shut down on time.

Durn. So, was all of gbpvr.com essentially offline yesterday? Bummer. And there's probably some forum for this sort of info, and some dweeb will probably tell me to RTFM (or in this case, RTFF; lol). But I gotta tell ya...I was jonesin! :-)

Nice plugin 23skidoo! "RTFM" should be "RTFW" (w=wiki). But having said that I can't see that being used on these forums as we seem to be a friendly bunch

Just added your plugin to the Communty Skin, will be included in the full download come next release.

The uninstaller contains a virus.

That is a false positive. NSIS installers/Uninstallers have a history of triggering false positives.

Oh, okay.. nothing else was registered as a virus.

But the author doesn't give any detail on how to actually USE this plugin. I installed it, and there's nothing anywhere to choose when to shut GBPVR off. He links to a wikipedia article on what a sleeptimer is..

Here is a list of known false positives

Assuming you are using the default blue skin, Sleep Timer is a menu selection from the main menu of GBPVR. Once the amount of time has gone by that you select, the system will be shut down.

I am using the default skin. It's not a menu selection, though.
