Question about directories on shares instead of local

Does it affect the performance or quality of recordings when using UNC paths to shares instead of local drives so that the client/server functionality works? Even though the server would be saving on the same machine, wouldn't it add layers of complexity (networking and O/S file sharing) and slow it down?

Just a thought...

Afaik you only need to use unc-paths on your client. On your server you just use paths to your local drives.
