Am I right in saying that if gbpvrwake.exe is found in the gb-pvr directory it is called whenever the computer comes out of standby (regardless of whether it is put into standby through windows or the gb-pvr menu option) ?

Am I also right in saying that this should then call wake.cmd? Problem I'm having is that gbpvrwake.exe doesn't seem to run unless I run it manually, and even when I run it manually it doesn't call wake.cmd. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

PS reason for doing this is that I want to run restartIR.exe on coming out of standby as sometimes my hauppauge remote doesn't work.

you should place a shortcut to gbpvrwake.exe in your startup folder so that it is alway running.

When the pc comes out of standby.hibernate AND you have a wake.cmd in the gbpvr folder, gbpvrwake.exe will run wake.cmd.

I use this method to check the status (and restart if necessary) of my nova-t usb2 as it doesn;t always re-initialise properly.

my wake.cmd is attached in this thread (in case you are interested)

Great, sorted it out now thanks. I didn't realise gbpvrwake.exe had to already be running before going into standby.
