When I use the TV out fullscreen the playbackis jerky and CPU usage is about 75-90% and very erratic.

I have reinstalled all the latest drivers and nothing has helped.

This only started happening recently but I am not sure what triggered the problem.

Before CPU usage on full screen was around 10-20% and smooth. Now I cannot record and play on the tv at the same time becase it causes problems with the recordings.

When I drag back onto the monitor CPU usage goes down to about 15% and is stable.

Any ideas?

What resolution is the monitor at? What are you decoding and what resolution is it at? Are you using any postprocessing? I would lower the resolution and then try again.

Did you upgrade your Nvidia drivers recently after a really long time?

If you're in a multiple monitor situation, switch your video renderer to VMR9 instead of VMR9 Custom. The VMR9 Custom uses Direct3D for drawing each frame to the screen. Most cards do not provide Direct3D accelleration on the secondary monitor - leading to really crappy performance.
