Navigation controls not working with DivX

My navigation controls wont work when playing back DivX movies from my video library. They work fine for MPEG playback but stop, Pause, FF, RR, etc. simply will not work when I am playing DivX.

Not sure what I did to screw this up but it is unbelievably annoying since my entire video library is in DivX format

Any help greatly appreciated.

The usual reason is the annoying divx tray icon thing steals the focus, and the remote will only send button presses to the window with focus.

You'll find some info in the divx forums about killing this tray icon. Alternatively you can uninstall the official divx software and use the xvid or ffmpeg decoders instead.

Thanks. The DivX toolbar toggle utility seems to have fix the problem. If it comes back then I'll go in and up the priority on Xvid so it uses that decoder instead.
