I'm sure I am doing something stupid...after my install of newest version all of my config settings were lost. So I'm betting that I did not reset something up correctly. But after changing my epg update settings to update at 2am and to get 8 days worth of stuff it seemed to have done it one day (9/28/06) but then none of the rest of the days until I did it by hand today. I'm attaching the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log. The wife is not too happy that I missed recording McDreamy...whatever that isSmile

Is your machine setup to automatically go to hibernate/standby after a period of inactivity?

No...BUT...I had remote desktopped to that machine around that time. I know I disconnected the session, but last night when I updated epg manually I had to log in to the computer. It said I had 4 programs running and PVR was working just fine...can it not update epg if I am logged out and require a password??

That should have any effect on it. Strangely there was some huge gaps in your logs, in which the epg update should have occurred.

I'm not really sure.

I have been getting some priority recordings failure down on my server machine since the update. I noticed there were some threads on making xrecord and associated stuff work in 98.8 and I followed those steps. Maybe it was the error that was preventing epg from updating. I'll keep an eye on it.
