similar music services?

Hi
I'm looking for services or products that can find music similar to what I like. I's like to be able to upload a list of all the songs or CD's that I already own, and have the service work out what I listen to and suggest other albums. Most "big" services like Amazon.com don't really work for me since I buy a lot of music from the artists directly through the web and at concerts, or music on particular labels that are for the most part indie or non affiliated. Can anyone reccomend anything?

Not exactly the automated option you are looking for, but lastfm and pandora are two sites you might want to look at, which can stream music to you based on your music likings. (Some pandora tips here).

i'll take a look at lastfm. I had tried searching for some of the artists that I like on pandora but most of the time isn't wasn't able to match any results. I think this is because a lot of my desired artists aren't mainstream or tend in mainstream genres.

It's not quite what you're after, but I'll mention it anyway... I use a subscription service called emusic most artists there have links to similar artists, influences and so on. Also shows which other members like the same bands, so you can peruse their downloads.
