Ok, there seems to be an on going issue here with GBPVR. At one time, possibily last week GB-PVR seemed to be fairly stable. Now I dont have any Live TV (just a black screen) with the OSD present. It will record but it justs records a blank screen. I'v3 reinstalled GB-PVR, .Net, Direct X, my card drivers and hell, I even installed XP agian.. I've tried 3-4 different video decoders and I still can not get a live image. My music videos do play, however.
After I try to play LIVE TV and I exit the program then GB-Pvr crashes.

Attached are my logs.

thanks again for the help.

Ignoring live tv initially, I'd first try to do a recording. Does it create a file? Does that file play in Windows Media Player?

)Ok, sub.
Ive check some recordings from my LIVE TV folder and from my RECORDINGs folder and they work just fine in Win media player.
So my machine is recording, it's just GB isn't displaying video.

However, If i place a DVD in my Drive GB will play it just fine.

thanks again

Can you playback a recording in GB-PVR? I assume no, but you dont directly say this above, and I need be sure this is the case.

ok, I just started Sex in the City in GB and instead of being a black screen it's a grey screen. It does show it's playing with the ticker time bar at the top but no real image.

Can you set the video renderer to VMR9 (not VMR9 Custom), then try playing one of these files, then zip and attach the logs?

One thing odd in your logs is that Directshow is trying to use two audio decoders at the same time. I'm not sure why you'd get this.
Quote:19:47:08.875 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - MPEG Audio Decoder
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - InterVideo Audio Decoder
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - InterVideo Video Decoder
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - GB-PVR Flow Status
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
19:47:08.875 VERBOSE - D:\Recording Dir\Sex and the City\Sex and the City_20061008_23002330.mpg

Have you tried the Overlay video renderer?

Have you tried a video decoder other than this Intervideo one? If so, what happens, same grey square?

Is you desktop configured for 32 bit colour?

Do you have a dual monitor setup?
