Hey, I'm currently using the latest gbpvr and I seem to be having clipping issues in GBPVR. Like when there is fast action on the screen the video seems to clip in sections. It's not stuttering at all, its just clippy. This happens in both live tv and recordings. If I play the recordings in windows media player or something like vlc there is no clipping at all. It just seems to happen in GBPVR. I've tried different codecs (intervideo, purevideo and FFdshow) they all do the same. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

Just in case my specs are
Athlon 1800+
512MB ram
Geforce 6200

I'm using it to run SDTV resolutons. Thanks.

Clipping? as in part of it not visible or off the screen?

More like when there is a fast action sequence going on, something like the bottom half of the screen will go at normal speed while the top half of the video is slightly slower and is always trying to catch up until the action stops and everything is back to normal. Its not kerky or anything its kind of like "blocky" I dont really know the right work for it. It did the same thing when I have a fx5200 in it so I upgraded to a 6200 and it still happens. Thanks for the quick reply by the way.

Zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take look.

Chances are its related to the combination of video renderer and video decoder though.

Try the Overlay renderer to see if it helps, which is what you get with Windows Media Player and I think VLC.

Only one of those logs show an attempt to play video (in this case live tv). Its using the VMR9 Custom video renderer and ffdshow as the decoder. The ffdshow video decoder is pretty flakey. I'd like to see some logs where you try the Intervideo decoder and standard VMR9 or the Overlay renderer.

Thanks sub. I tried the intervideo decoder and the standard vmr9 seems to have done it, I thought I tried this before and it didnt work but thanks anyway I'm going to test it out for a bit longer and see what happens but so far it seems fine. I 'll attach the logs anyway in case you were curious. Thanks alot.

Glad you got it working. These sorts of problems nearly always come down to the combination of video render and video decoder.
