Why is it always recording?

I have a aver m150 and I finally got it working properly using the overlay manager for playback.  The problem is that when watching Tv or listening to the net radio it creates recordings.  Why is  it recording these programs if I dont use the schedule or manual record features? I cant find anyway to stop this in the configuration settings. Thanks for any help.

Ok thanks, your quick start guide is very helpful. I tried another pvr  software and the set up cofiguration was not as intuitive as yours.  But I think Im gonna put this capture card and gb-pvr in another computer cause playing games gets so choppy.

how does the hardware encoding card interfear with playing games on the computer? I can play GTA Vice City while gbpvr records something, even on my slow VIA 1GHz C3...
