MVP Stops Responding to Remote Control During Playback

This is a new one for me. When I play a video on either of my MVPs (sorry, can't remember the versions, but it's in my signature below - sad, I know), I get one button push on the remote control which will work, any that follow will be ignored with the exception of the power button. Also, it seems to be ignoring the comskip file (I have it setup to automatically skip commercials). Buttons that I have tried to use after it stops responding are fast forward, rewind (with and without # minutes specified), Exit, EPG, Pause, and Stop. I can test more if it's worthwhile to do so. The only way out is to let the video finish playing or press the power button and reboot. Video playback works fine on the server.

I installed 0.98.8 almost two weeks ago and did not have this problem. It would appear that it must be something I did in setting my first Client PC as I finally had the chance to do this week. The client playback is fine also, all controls work.

Any ideas? I checked the log files, but didn't find anything in there that gave me any ideas. I've attached the log files that changed when reproducing the problem.

A bit more info. The automatic commercial skipping DOES work if no remote buttons are pressed during playback. Also, it seems that when the end of a video is reached it causes a reboot of the MVP.

I tried going back to an older dongle.bin (the version I was using w/0.97.13, can't remember which version), but still have the same problem. Unless someone has a better idea I'll try a complete re-install of 0.98.8b.
