Keyboard & Remote don't work during video playback

Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere, I searched but could not find anything. I am new to GBPVR and noticed that I cannot use any of my keyboard commands or MCE remote commands during video playback. The remote is set to MCE in config. Mouse works fine.

This is because you're using the divx decoder and it's stealing the application focus and switching it to its stupid divx tray icon thingy. There is a apparently some tray killer utillity available on the divx website or forums which deals to this issue.

Alternatively uninstall this divx software and install an alternative divx decoder.
