Hi,

I'll admit I have no idea what I'm doing, but I've tried playing for a while. I hav a KWORLD ATSC-110 on XP SP1 system. I can install fine, the config program finds channels fine. It will even play in the config box. But when I got to live tv, the program crashes. I added a mux (cyberlink), but it still happens. I can watch avi's that are currently on my machine though.

Any suggestions, help, testing i should do? Any more info needed?

Thanks!

Theres no obvious cause in your logs. Have you tried switching video decoders and/or renderer?

I tried every combination of renderer and decorder (Intervideo & Nero). The wierd thing is seemed to work once, and then stopped again.

Also wierd -- I was able to record 10 minutes manually, and play that back fine.

Any other suggestions on trouble shooting?

The crash message is as follows:
AppName: gbpvr.exe AppVer: 1.0.2486.9816 ModName: psisdecd.dll
ModVer: 6.5.1.900 Offset: 000103b9

I seem to remember Microsoft has made some patch available that addresses crashes in psisdecd.dll, but I've never seen the problem myself, so I never paid it much attention. It might be worth googling on this.

okay, I'll try that -- but it requires me to upgrade to SP2. I'm curious, but does SP2 make the whole thing easier? I've been avoiding it since things have been working fine without it (the old if it ain't broke theory)...

Another data point -- in the config program, I can watch one channel, but if I select another channel, it crashes. Maybe that helps...

To be honest, I can remember what life was like prior to SP2. I've had it on my machines for a very long time. I've not had any problems with it, and obviously its what GB-PVR is tested with.
