I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 (Non_MCE) with the composite input. I created two capture source profiles. One for the tuner on the card and one for the composite input. I'm having trouble accessing the composite input profile though. The regular tuner profile works great, I can record, watch live TV, and recorded videos from the tuner profile with no troubles. Any help is appreciated.

So what exactly is the problem? You dont say what happens when you try to record through the composite input.

You need to view or record from the channels on that capture source.

If you're connecting to a set top box, this capture source should have been setup with a full EPG, covering the channels you have a available.

If you're trying to dub from a video recorder, or something similar, then set the EPG source to 'none' and manually create a channel called 'Composite' or 'AV1'.

This might not make any sense...I know I'm confused but here goes: I don't understand how to setup the composite input. I've tried it this way: Start confid, Capture Sources Tab, Add, I name the source "Composite", Change the Recording Source to "G07007SB Recording Plugin", Set EPG source to "None"...

then it doesn't allow me to add channels. When I open GbPVR it doesn't allow me to access that source. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. With WinTV200 that came with the Hauppauge card, I couls specify that "Channel 200" was the composite input on the card. I'm not sure how to do that here.

Sorry for the confusion and thanks for the help.

What type of card do you have?? a hauppauge card or a GO7007SB based card? You should be using the 'direct recording plugin' if you have a Hauppauge card.

You should find that if you got back into your capture source settings, you can click the 'add' button to add a channel. Call it something like 'Composite' or 'AV1'. This will then show up as a channel in live tv, or when you schedule a recording.

Calling a channel "Composite" is easy enough to do. But how do I direct teh GBPVR service to look at the hardware composite input when the "Composite channel is selected? I just did as you suggested (You should find that if you got back into your capture source settings, you can click the 'add' button to add a channel. Call it something like 'Composite' or 'AV1'. This will then show up as a channel in live tv, or when you schedule a recording) and when I view the channel it is only fuzz. I need to know how to tell GBPVR to look at the physical composite input on the Hauppauge card, and not some random channel number.

I have a Hauppauge 150 Non-MCE

In the config, add a capture source, name it whatever, for the recording source, select direct recording plugin, then click settings, select the Hauppauge PVR150, then select Composite from the Source drop down.

When you created you capture source, you selected to use the 'direct recording plugin' then click the settings bitton next to this. Select the card type is 'Hauppauge PVR150', then a few fields down the screen from where you select the card, you'll find the 'source' field for selecting the input you need to use.
