Hi all,

I have 98.08 insatlled and working for the most part, but what I notice that when I restart the computer and GBPVR for that matter I get disk activity for many minutes. During that time GBPVR doesn't respond at all. Is this normal for what other people see, or is there some configuration that I missed.

My system is
A64 3000
Foxconn nforce6100
1gb corsair 3200 dual channel
maxtor 40gb main
wd 160gb media drive

TIA

How is your drive fragmentation? Are the drives set to DMA? What apps are set to launch at start up? how long has Windows been installed? Could just be a build-up of Windows "plaque."

If it is a lot of disk activity right after you launch GBPVR, it is most likely loading all of your EPG data into memory from the database. Do you have a lot of channels? The more channels you have, the longer this will take.

It was a fresh install of windows just before I added GVPVR. DMA-yes. Very few programs even installed at this point.

Good point about the extra channels. I have basic cable, but I notice all the pay-per view and premium channels in the epg. I'll go ahead and delete those tonight.

Thanks
