Tried to resolve this with psycik since I was using MusicLibrary2, but it seems to be more of a system issue. I have over 5000 mp3's dating back several years, mostly ripped with WinAmp, more than half won't play audio, while some do. I've tried detagging, retagging, moving directories, etc.
1.) All work with Windows Media Player (problem came up when I set WMP=false due to constant keypress errors)
2.) WMP and GBPVR 98.13 both use Realtek HD Audio output via SPDIF (works for livetv & recording and some MP3s; problem remains when I jack in speakers)
3.) I can find no difference in tagging or album art with those that works and those that don't.
4.) Problem occurs with original Music Library and ML2
5.) Had started with fresh install of GBPVR 98.13, after the problem started I ran changedatabase to SQL, no luck.
6.) Have tried adjusting sample rate (for SPDIF), line levels, etc. Can play 'working' file to test, and non-working file remain non-working. Switch to WMP, everything's fine...
Not sure what else to try... I've attached my log files after having played a few non-audible tracks; I could switch back and set UseWindowsMediaPlayerForAudio to false, but the erratic remote functions were driving me nuts... any ideas?
thanks again,
murph.
