How to change channel names?

Hi, i am new in these forum.

I have tried a lot of HTPC software in the past.

GB PVR it's seems to be very powerfull.

I have a little Question: How can I change the channel Names of my tv stations?

it depends on how the channels are created.
if you are getting your EPG information from Zap2it then you cannot change the names of the channels. they are provided by Zap2it's service.
I am not sure about XMLTV listings, but I assume you may be able to change the names there by modifying the XML file.
if you created the channels manually then I know you can name them whatever you want.

if you are wondering about changing the channel numbers, you can do that two different ways, first, if the channel does not come in on the number specified by the EPG, you can change that in the capture source setup. or if you want to change the order the channels show up in in the guide/when channel surfing. you can do that in the channels tab of the config tool.

as I am in the US I have never used that, and I am not really sure how it works. but I am pretty sure that you can not change the name of the channel, just the number. I think the only channel names you can change are manually created channels
