Hi,

I've set up a Season Recording to record "Desperate Housewives" which is on Tuesdays at 21:15. I happened to be near the machine today when it should have been recording. It woke up on time (2 minutes before hand), however the Recording Now/Recording Soon message send "None recording" and there was no disk activity. It wasn't recording so I started the recording manually.

Any ideas -- my logs are attached. I'm using the latest version of GB-PVR with the patches from the sticky and the blue skin.

Thanks

Is your EPG ok? I have no idea what has happened to your recording, but you'd get this behavior if you somehow canceled the recording. GBPVR does not cancel the Windows' "wake up call", so Windows would still be waking the computer up at the requested time.

I use a batch file that does an onlyemptyepg, onlyupdateepg, and then starts GBPVR.

Would that kill my Season Recordings?

I wouldn't think so... maybe you could get sub to take a look at your logs and see what's going on (he usually does)

To answer your question, stefan, my EPG was populated at the time because I then used it to manually start the recording as I had also noticed that the timeline at the top of the tv guide wasn't red -- also indicating that it wasn't recording

The RecordingService.exe.log file is missing from your zip file. I'm sure sub will want to look at it from the time the error occurred... you might need to look at the ones with a number in them to find the one from that time if you have restarted the recording service since.

Sorry, I can't see anything in there that tells us why the recording went missing. Maybe sub can.

I think I had problems in the past with the -onlyempty and -onlyupdate commands. I now use the updateepg.bat. Set the epg-update to do a full reload of the epg (not recommended for dvb users). If you want to do it manually just start epg-update from the gbpvr-tray-icon. It will start updateepg.bat right away.

Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens.

EDIT: Well I would if there were an updateegg.bat in my gbpvr root directory
