The last couple of days I've noticed two oddities involving duplicate recordings or multiple timeslot recordings showing up unexpectedly. I don't know if it has anything to do with my recent 98.08b->98.13b upgrade but I've never seen it before.

1. Duplicate Recordings

I have a "Record Season (all episodes on this channel)" scheduled for a 15 minute program which is typically played twice over a single night.

To mitigate stuff like this, I have enabled the "Don't record duplicates (zap2it)" flag in the configuration app.

For some reason, last night I ended up recording both copies of a particular episode (Aqua Teen Hunger Force - Dumber Dolls at 11/16 12am and 3:30am). I checked the SQLite database and verified that both of these episodes have identical EP# IDs. Seems that the avoid duplicates flag was ignored.

I do not see this problem repeated on subsequent days but I'll keep an eye on it.

2. Multiple Timeslot Recordings

I have a "Record Season (all in weekly timeslot, this channel)" recording set for 8pm on Sundays (FOX _The Simpsons_).

FOX likes to sandwich premier episodes along with one or two older episodes. The default AllowableTimeslowVariance value of 90 minutes ended up with my recording all 3 episodes. This is undesirable since the provider likes to shift their schedule a few minutes here and there, resulting in partial episode cutoffs.

To mitigate this problem, I set AllowableTimeslotVariance to 25 minutes. This worked well until this week, when I saw that both

Simpsons "The Italian Bob" 11/19 7:30p-8:00p [old episode] and
Simpsons "Moe'N'A Lisa" 11/19 8:00p-8:30p

were in my Pending list. The 25 minute variance value seems to be ignored.

I've attached all logs as well as my config.xml in hopes someone can shed light on the problems.

Thanks in advance!

What was the EP# so I can see in the logs?

Its definitely not ignored. Were these already scheduled as pending when you changed the value?

No, I changed the variance value weeks ago, back when I was running 98.08b. It was there when I upgraded to 98.13b.

Thanks for eyeballing it, I can supply the DB3 if you'd like but that's a big load to slog through.
