Hi,

I'm trying to build a home-brew PVR and am following the 'Build a PVR' hardware project that featured in the June 2006 issue of PCAnswers. Does anyone know how to go about configuring GB-PVR to work in conjunction with a Nebula Electronics DigiTV and Hauppauge MVP please as the instructions in PCAnswers June 2006 edition seem to be a little vague IMHO. There's no mention on how to go about configuring GB-PVR other than to change the number of servers to autostart from '0' to '1'.

Any suggestions on how to go about configuring GB-PVR would be appreciated.

Thank you.
Best Regards.

Welcome to the forum Smile Have you seen our wiki? There is quite a lot of info to start with over there. If you have a more precise question(s) after looking there, please feel free to ask them Smile

Hi Stephan, Thank you for your reply. I've not visited your wiki however shall do so straight away :-).

Since installing GB-PVR I'm unable to get my Media MVP to boot. Really not having a lot of luck at all with this project :-(.

Shall persevere though as would like to get this GB-PVR project up and running now.

Regarding the Capture Card type do you have any idea what should be selected here for a Nebula Electronics DigiTV USB DVB-T Receiver?. The default is Hauppauge PVR150 (as you're aware) but I'm not sure what needs to go here.

Best Regards.

You'll get it to work. But it might take a while to get it to where you want Smile

Hi Stefan,

Thank you for your reply. Added some more text to the thread but think that this was added after you'd replied.

As the nebula is a digital capture device I expect you will need to change Recording Source to BDA recording plugin on the Create capture source page.

Sorry, I've never added a card that is not supported "out of the box". I know it is possible, others have done it. You should be able to find information about it here on the forums, though.

McBainUK is correct, of course. I wasn't attentive enough to your question. Maybe the Nebula is already supported, if you're lucky Smile

According to the list here, it is nativly supported. Assume your in the UK 'homebrewpc' with a card like that?
