Hello,

I was using gbpvr before with my analog cable subscription and it worked great. I just added a digital cable box to the computer like this:

cable -> digital box -> pvr150 card

for some reason when I record shows now, nothing is there but static. No picture or sound. I cant watch live tv with gbpvr either.

I did get live tv to work with winTV2000 though, by setting its channel to 2, and then changing channels with the digital cable box.

Anyone know how to fix this on the gbpvr side?

Thanks!
Curtis

How do you have the input into the PVR-150? coax, s-video?
Have you set up your capture source to use the correct input on the card?

I beleive you would choose 'Fixed Channel, External Tuner' for the source option when you edit your Recording Source in config

ok I cant find answers anywhere!! I am so confused...

1. Do I need an IR blaster to use GBPVR to just record programs from a comcast motorola DCT2224 box?

I have a pvr 150 and I followed these instructions:

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/manuals/i...ng_web.pdf

and in the IR Blaster Configuration wizard, I got to the code set part and none of them turned the Motorola DCT2224 box off. I tried both codes for that specific model and then I tried all the codes in the "test all" Nothing worked!!!

All I want to do is to be able to record programs from my digital cable box with gbpvr. I dont need to watch live tv with gbpvr because I can do that right now with WinTv2000.

Can anyone list to me exactly what I need to do?

Thanks!!

Do you have an IR blaster? You'll need one. It's a separate piece of hardware that plugs into either a USB port on your computer or into the TV card. You'll also need to configure GB-PVR to us it. Look in the GB-PVR config in the capture source set-up. You'll need to set up the Channel Changer to use your blaster. The settings depend on which blaster you have. This is all covered in the wiki.

Did your 150 not come with an IR Blaster? mine was attached to the same wire that had the remote receiver on it. You will need the Blaster in order to control the STB.

Hello,

I do have a IR Blaster and have made some progress, yet I am stuck on the Set Code options. I have a Motorola DCT2224 box issued through Comcast. When I try to test the code for that specific model, it does not work. I then tried "Test all Codes" which none worked.

Here is a picture of my box:

This is my IR Blaster that came with my pvr 150:

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/manuals/i...ng_web.pdf

I stuck the IR Transmitter right to the right of the "Power" text as that looked to be the Infared Sensor for the box.

I plugged the IR blaster into the TV card. It seems to be working because the red indicator lights up when I try to run a test.

Can you think of anything I might be doing wrong??

Thanks,
Curtis

A couple of people have mentioned that the newest Hauppauge IR Blaster software offers a facility to learn a new set of remote codes, which should allow you to record the signals from your Motorola remote.
