hi people

first posting here and learning pvr as a beginner...

does gbpvr does the following...

> turn on a laptop to do a scheduled recording, and then turned it off (could be from hibernation and back to hibernation). i had a kworld usb DVB-T 300U and it does support it (S.R.P.O. –Scheduled-Recording in the PC Power-Off Mode) but the software interface is so pants.

> put gbpvr into the internet so that i can view my listing, recording, etc (my friend showed me mythTV and that can do it)

yes to both. If your machine support S3 events (bios option) then it can wake the machine from hibernating.

Yes there is an internet client - called Enhanced Web Admin - that is packaged with GBPVR with it's own web server (now supports streamin).

Welcome to the wonderful world of GBPVR!!

GB-PVR will ask windows to wake up for the recordings, so assuming the power management stuff works fine on your PC, then yes, GB-PVR will make the machine to do recordings.
