maby someone could setup an wikipage that explain the 4 diffrent recordngtypes.

Record Once
Record Season (all episodes on this channel)
Record Season (all episodes in this timeslot, this channel)
Season-Record

ex, how many minutes can the starttime of an recording overlap from the original timeslot and still be recorded?

This is controlled by the <AllowedBeginningOverlap> setting in config.xml. It defaults to 3 minutes.

Hmm ive been expeering that if a show, lets say "lost" starts 18:00 and another episode starts 18:30 then both shows will get recorded even if ive only have the 18:00 show as an reoccuring show.

lets say a show is every day at 18:00 and the rerun of the show is 17:30 the next day, then both get recorded. even if i only sets the 18:00 show on reoccuring.

the 3:d recoring option, am i supose to use that one for shows that occures lets say every sunday at a given time, and the 4:th option if a show runs lets say mon, tues, wend and fri at the same given time?

A timeslot season recording effectively tells GB-PVR to recording any shows with the same title, with a start time within +/- 90 minutes of the original recording start time. So if you have two episodes of "Lost" airing within that 180 minute period, then they'll both be scheduled.

This +/- 90 minutes timeslot is to accommodate small changes that occur to broadcast schedules, for example a show playing an hour late one week.

If 90 minutes doesnt suit you, then you can adjust the size of the timeslot in the config.xml file, but this comes at the expensive of losing this functionality that picks up small changes in the times shows are aired. This may or may not be of much importance to you.

This timeslot works well for most people, but there this situation where some channel repeat shows at nearly the same time can lead to extras being scheduled that you wouldnt want.

not exactly sure what you are saying but here is the functionality

Record Once
well, it records the show once :p

Record Season (all episodes on this channel)
records everything with that shows title on that channel

Record Season (all episodes in this daily timeslot, this channel)
records everything with that shows title on that channel, on the day that you are setting it up, within the AllowableTimeslotVariance

Record Season (all episodes in this weekly timeslot, this channel)
records everything with that shows title on that channel, on any day, within the AllowableTimeslotVariance

AllowableTimeslotVariance is a setting in the config.xml file, it explains why when you select the 8:00 show, if last weeks show is played at 7:30 that gets recorded, because AllowableTimeslotVariance defaults to 90 minutes. I had the same problem, lowered it to 25 mins and all was well
