I installed the following on a box with Intel 1.6GHz/Win XP Prof :
- Hauppauge PVR150MCE card
- Hauppauge WinTV2000 application (for testing)
- GB-PVR v0.98.13b

The test with WinTV2000 worked fine. Also, when I use GB-PVR Tuning Assistant, I am able to see the channels. However, in GB-PVR when I select a channel and click on Watch, I get "Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object." As suggested in these forums, I turned off GBPVRRecordingService.exe and now I get "Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it."

I am attaching a couple of pix from my config.

I did look around the msg board and saw that this may be caused by a firewall. I have disabled the firewall on my machine.

Any pointers on what I could try? Thanks.

just a thought, make sure wintv is not tuning a channel. Since there is only one tuner that could cause a problem.

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

-Oz-: After I did the test, I uninstalled WinTV2000.

Try switching the video renderer from VMR9 Custom, to something else.
