Hi, first of all, thanks for another super release Smile

I'm just having a bit of trouble getting the YouTube plugin to work, well, to play the videos.

It downloads the video and when it's completed it just jumps back to the plugin. Looking at the logs it looks like it's the transcoding that fails, do I need to set up something special to make it work?

I have attached the logs, these are what I think are the key points:

GBPVR.exe.log
Code:

Btw, I'm using the blue skin, and live-tv and playback of recordings work fine Smile

When you do this, does a F:\PVR\VMR9.mpg get created?

Yeah, but it's 0 bytes big. I also get a F:\PVR\VMR9.flv that's the downloaded video, it plays back fine in VLCplayer.

I'm not really sure. Does it do this with all the youtube videos you try?

A next step might involve manually running that ffmpeg command line from the logs to see if it spits out an error messages. I suspect it will.

Sub, I received this on a video from YouTube as well, FFmpeg was complaining about the output of mpeg1/2 not supporting the 12fps of the input flv file, gave an error of #0.0 and was saying to check parameters. It did it on one file and that was it, all of the other videos played fine. Of course since I was tired last night I didn't even think to save the original flv file for later inspection. :o

Yeah, I suspect that is what he's seeing also. Hopefully its not common. I've not come across it on my tests.

I will play with it some more and see if I can find one that errors out and save the flv file this time.

Thanks for the tip! I just tried it, the result is posted below.

Is ffmpeg.exe a stand alone thing, or does it use ffdshow?
