It appears as if your recording service has crashed or not responding for some reason:

Code:
23.12.2006 00:40:30.893    VERBOSE    [1]    exception: GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: Failed to communicate with the Recording Service.

Check your services list to see if the GBPVR Recording Service is running.

There is a known issue with the mdapi filter which means it only allows one instance per process at the moment. So in theory, and if you have two capture devices, you could be watching tv and recording at the same time (ie, once instance in GBPVR.exe and one in GBPVRRecordingService.exe), but not two recordings at the same time (which would require two instances in GBPVRRecordingService.exe process).

The author of this filter is working on this issue.

I do notice your log ends with:
Quote:23.12.2006 03:05:50.079 VERBOSE [1] MyVideosPlugin.Database.Directories.SaveDataset()
We've had a couple of people have lock up problems with this in the past. If you temporarily remove the DLL files from the plugins directory, does it help?

It looks like you were trying to cancel a recording when the recording had failed to started because it could find the filters for that device, probably leading to some unpredictable behaviour.

Quote:03:21:02.916 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: DTV-DVB USB2 DVB-T receiver

Even if it had found this filter though, you may have had unexpected problems due to the multidec API filter already being in use by the other device, which was also recording in the same process.
