Client Problems

On a client machine:
Everything works fine until you change the channel using the + or - sign. It freezes the app up.

If I right click and go back to the TV Guide and select the channel everything is fine.

any ideas?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the client and server logs and I'll take a look.

I'm sorry, but I dont provide any support for software compression cards. I didnt write the software encoder plugin myself, and dont know anything about how this plugin works.

where is the list of supported dual tuner cards?

I only support cards recording via the built in recording plugins - ie, Direct Recording Plugin for analog cards with hardware MPEG2 compression, and the BDA Recorder plugin for digital devices. I dont support software compression cards, which some people use with the help of the WDM Software Encoder plugin written by normanr.

Even then I only really actively support common cards which I have in my possession (ie Hauppauge PVR150, PVR500, ATI 550 pro etc). I will look at logs for other cards using the DirectRecording plugin and BDA Recording plugin, but may or may not be able to help.

Oh, you should be alright with that card. It doesnt use software compression though, which you mentioned earlier. It has a hardware MPEG2 encoder.

Can you attach a complete set of logs. You were missing many of them in that set you posted. Most importantly the recording service native logs for the server.

When you repost the logs please note what time the error happened so I know where I'm looking in the logs.

ok, maybe I need help setting up the configuration?

the hardware encoding only shows sigma and hauppauge, and it only allows me to change settings on the sigma one. when I set it to the sigma hardware encoding, the TV doesn't work.

edit: those are 100% of the logs. there are no others.
